Adrigole is located in the south west or Ireland, in the west of county cork. It is well accessible by both land and sea, the following is a "how to?" of travelling to Adrigole.
By Air
There are many airlines which operate services to and from cork from various locations. Aer Lingus, Aer Arann and Ryanair operate services from Dublin to both Cork and Kerry Airport. UK services operate from London, Manchester, Cardiff, Bristol, The Midlands and other airports to Cork. Tickets vary in price, however budget airlines such as Ryanair are obviously cheaper. The Aer Arann flights from Cardiff to Cork can be purchased for a reasonable amount, if you are willing to travel at off peak times. The Beara Peninsula is served well by the Bus Eireann bus service, it is also well served by private bus companies, which run daily bus services to Cork city at very reasonable rates. Trains - The nearest train station is Killarney, trains travel from here to all the major cities. Tickets are often quite expensive and it's worth investigating the air fare to your destination before booking.

BEWARE Please remember that all speed limits in Ireland are now in KM/H. The common sign to see on a national road is 100, this indicates a 100 kilometres per hour speed limit this is approximately 60mph.
Also please remember as always that drivers in the UK and Ireland drive on the left hand side of the road. In many of the hire cars available there are clear warnings about which side of the road to drive on. There are several approaches to take to get to Adrigole I have listed the main ones below:
From Cork: Adrigole is situated on the main Glengarriff to Castletownbere road. If you leave Cork city travel west on the N22 road, travel for about 17 miles take a left turn for Castletownbere, follow this road for another mile, turn left towards Castletownbere. Travel on this road continuing towards Castletownbere. Once on this road R572 travel for another 14 miles past Glengarriff. You will then see the sign for Adrigole, travel for about another 12 miles and you will see the 'Welcome To Adrigole' sign, travel past this sign about 6 miles to reach your destination.
From Killarney: Fastest Route Killarney is a major town can be located on any good road atlas. It is situated in the heart of County Kerry. From Killarney town, head north towards Cork on the N22 road, after approximately 11 miles turn right on the R569 towards Kenmare and Kilgarvan. Travel straight through Kilgarvan and when you come to Kenmare continue straight on through the town and take a left towards Glengarriff and Castletownbere. Continue on for approximately half a mile and cross a bridge, immediately after this bridge turn right towards the Healy Pass on the R571. Continue on this road for a further 22 miles.
You are now in the village of Lauragh turn left towards the Healy Pass travel onwards for approximately half a mile, at the Sibin bar turn left onto the R574 again towards Adrigole. Continue on this road for a further 4 miles winding over what are often single lane roads (Please keep to the left) and are often covered in flocks of sheep (the majority of the sheep are accustomed to traffic and will simply move out of the way). Once you come towards the brow of the hill on the road, there is a spectacular Glanmore Lake. It can in the photo below. Head up over the hill, you are now in County Cork and will see the "Welcome to County Cork" sign. You will pass Don's mountain Cabin, the view from this location is spectacular you are looking down on the Healy Pass. Continue down this road for a further 4.5 miles, and turn right, travel for about 100 yards. You have reached Peg's shop, you are now in Adrigole.
From Killarney: Scenic Route: Killarney as before can be located on any good road atlas. It is situated in the heart of County Kerry. From Killarney town, head east towards Kenmare and Muckross on the N71, this road will take you along by the beautiful Lakes Of Killarney and Torc Waterfall, you will then wind your way up the mountain side to Ladies View. Continue straight on this road for 14.5 miles and at Molls Gap turn left towards Kenmare.
Follow the road into Kenmare town straight ahead up the main street, and turn right at the top of this street, continue to the end of this one way street, then take a left towards Glengariff. Continue on for approximately half a mile and cross a bridge, immediately after this bridge turn right towards the Healy Pass on the R571. Continue on this road for a further 22 miles. You are now in the village of Lauragh turn left towards the Healy Pass travel onwards for approximately half a mile, at the Sibin bar turn left onto the R574 again towards Adrigole.
